ABOUT DAVID

David Hilton is a lifelong resident of Strafford County, a Christian, and a Republican with strong libertarian leanings. He is running for New Hampshire House of Representatives, Strafford County District 12 (Somersworth and Rollinsford) in 2026.

David’s Christian faith deeply influences his commitment to public service, emphasizing personal responsibility, integrity, respect for life, strong families, and service to his community. He believes government must remain limited, transparent, and accountable to the people.

A strong defender of the U.S. and New Hampshire Constitutions, David supports lower taxes, reduced government spending, parental rights in education, Second Amendment protections, and policies that promote economic opportunity for working families and small businesses in Strafford County.

ISSUES

Taxes & Spending

  • Oppose any new taxes or fees. Work to lower property taxes, reduce wasteful spending, and keep government lean and efficient.

Education

  • Strongly support parental rights, school choice, and local control of schools. Focus on strong academics rather than divisive ideologies.
    Public Safety & Infrastructure: Support law enforcement and first responders. Advocate for responsible infrastructure improvements (such as town facilities) without excessive tax increases.

Economy & Housing

  • Cut burdensome regulations to improve housing affordability and support small business growth in Somersworth, Rollinsford, and across Strafford County.

Values

  • Pro-life. Protect religious liberty, traditional family values, and the right to keep and bear arms.

Immigration & Rule of Law

  • Support enforcement of immigration laws to safeguard our communities and resources.

Liberty

  • Champion individual freedom, limited government, and personal responsibility.
